Albert Yun Sang Lam

Dr Albert Yun-Sang Lam is a research assistant professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. He was a postdoctoral scholar at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences of University of California, Berkeley, CA, USA. He received both the BEng degree in Information Engineering and the PhD degree from the University of Hong Kong, in 2005 and 2010, respectively. He is an active member of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, where he takes leading roles and participates in many professional activities. His research interests include optimization, evolutionary computation, smart grids, and smart cities. He co-invented the Chemical Reaction Optimization technique, which has applications in many domains.
