Professor Andrew L MILLER is Professor of Division of Life Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is recognized for his contribution to the investigation of the roles played by calcium ions in the signal transduction pathways that orchestrate embryonic development. He specializes in the use of calcium-sensitive bioluminescent proteins to visualize dynamic changes in levels of calcium in living cells. His lab has pioneered the development of transgenic animal models to study calcium signaling in intact embryos.
