Yik Ki Au 區奕琪

Yik Ki Au received her BSc degree with first-class honors in 2016 and earned her PhD in 2020 under the supervision of Prof. Zuowei Xie both from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her PhD work focused on transition metal-catalyzed regioselective B-H functionalization of o-carboranes. She was awarded the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Award (2016–2020) and Croucher Fellowships for Postdoctoral Research (2020–2022). After her PhD graduation, she worked in Prof. Stephen L. Buchwald’s lab as a postdoctoral fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology on palladium-catalyzed C-C bond formation. Currently, she is working in Discovery Chemistry as a Senior Scientist at Merck on drug development.
