Chung Hang Kwan

Mr. Chung-Hang Kwan received his B.Sc. degree in Mathematics (Enrichment stream, first class honour) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in the year 2017. He is currently a PhD student at the Department of Mathematics of the Columbia University. His graduate study is supported by the Dean's fellowship offered by Columbia University and the Croucher Scholarship for Doctoral Study. His research interests lie at the interface between analysis and number theory.

He was on academic exchange at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from fall 2015 to spring 2016. In the summer of 2016, he was a research assistant at the SMALL Research Experience for Undergraduates at the Williams College and he researched on several problems in number theory. He is a co-author of two research papers which have been submitted for publication and presented at the Young Mathematicians Conference 2016 at the Ohio State University.
