  • Scholarship in 2020 at Imperial College London

Justin obtained his B.Sc. in Mathematics (First Class Honours) from The University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2017. He worked on mathematical modelling and machine learning as an undergraduate researcher in the RIPS-HK 2016 and SPIA 2017 programmes respectively at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) during summer breaks. Fascinated by machine learning and its applications, he continued to explore the subject in greater depth at HKUST after graduating from HKU, obtaining his M.Phil. in Mathematics in 2019.

Justin is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Imperial College London, working with Dr. Tae-Kyun Kim on generative machine learning models, particularly for image-to-image translation tasks in Computer Vision.

Outside his academic activities, Justin is also a classical music enthusiast. As an experienced piano player, he is also learning the violin on his own.
