Kwan Ching Ha Bonnie

As a recipient of the Croucher Foundation Fellowship, worked as a Research Fellow under the guidance of Professor Alfred Cheung at the School of Medicine, University of Utah, USA. During that year, was involved in laboratory and animal studies on hemodialysis vascular access stenosis and developed an interest in the study of metabolic syndrome in people with chronic kidney disease.

Currently

Currently is a Nephrologist working at the Department of Medicine & Therapeutics, Prince of Wales Hospital, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Day to day work involves:

  • Clinical work at Prince of Wales Hospital (i.e. looking after patients, esp. those with kidney disease, in the wards and in clinics)
  • Teaching medical students of The Chinese University of Hong Kong
  • Research, mainly in the fields of peritoneal dialysis and metabolic syndrome
