Lok Hin Lee 李洛騫

  • Scholarship in 2018 at University of Oxford

Lok Hin graduated from the University of Oxford in 2017 with First Class Honours reading a Masters in Engineering, Economics and Management. Lok Hin subsequently achieved a DPhil degree from the University of Oxford in the Institute of Biomedical Engineering in the Biomedical Image Analysis lab in 2021, focused on using deep learning to assist in medical provision in resource constrained areas, and continued as a postdoctoral researcher in the same lab focusing on automated gestational age estimation on ultrasound images using Bayesian neural networks.

Previous Work

Lok Hin's graduate work focuses on deep learning and its applications into obstetric ultrasound under the supervision of Professor Alison Noble. The focus of his doctoral research was on methods that reduce the diagnostic burden on ultrasonographers, which aim to help increase the availability of fetal ultrasound care in resource deprived areas of the world.

Currently

Lok Hin will be studying medicine in the University of Vanderbilt's Medical Innvators Development Programme (MIDP). MIDP aims to foster medical innovation in the clinical side by bringing students with existing DPhils and research experience and training them in clinical science and medicine, fostering cross-field innovation and bridging. The MIDP programme is internationally unique to the University of Vanderbilt and aims to train the leaders of clinical innovation of tomorrow.
