  • Scholarship in 2005 at University of Cambridge

Dr Anson Ma is currently a faculty member in the Polymer and the Chemical Engineering Programs at the University of Connecticut (UConn). His research group focuses on understanding the flow behavior (rheology) of complex fluids and additive manufacturing. Dr Ma received a number of faculty awards, including a 3M non-tenured faculty award in 2016, 2015 Arthur B. Metzner award by the Society of Rheology, US National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER award in 2013 and the "Distinguished Young Rheologist Award" from TA Instruments in 2012.

Dr Ma obtained his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge (UK) in 2009 after completing his B.Eng. (2003) and M.Phil (2005) degrees at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Before arriving at UConn, Dr. Ma spent two years at Rice University (TX, USA), where he was named the J. Evans Attwell-Welch Fellow – a postdoctoral fellowship bestowed by the Richard E.
