Vincent Cheung 張家銘

Dr Cheung is a Project Researcher at Sony Computer Science Laboratories (SonyCSL). He is an auditory cognitive neuroscientist and his current research combines deep learning and music information retrieval to develop biosignal-based recommendation systems.

He was awarded the Croucher Fellowship for postdoctoral research at the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, and was also awarded a Croucher Scholarship for doctoral studies at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig, Germany. His previous work investigated the neural and cognitive mechanisms of musical pleasure, and his research was featured by international media in over 12 languages and on German national television.

He completed his undergraduate studies in mathematics at the University of Warwick, UK before pursuing a masters in computational neuroscience at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany.
