Professor Edwin CHENG Tai Chiu is Chair Professor of Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Professor Cheng is an internationally known expert in theoretical scheduling research. His pioneering work in this field has produced results that resolve some long-standing open problems in the literature. His numerous findings encompass new discoveries with respect to problem formulations, method of solution and classification of problem computational complexity. These results have advanced the frontier of knowledge in scheduling research and provided new and deep insights into a wide variety of challenging scheduling problems.
