Heming Cui 崔鶴鳴

Dr. Heming Cui is an associate professor in Computer Science of the University of Hong Kong (https://www.cs.hku.hk/index.php/people/academic-staff/heming). His research interests are in operating systems, programming languages, distributed systems, and cloud computing, with a particular focus on building software systems to improve reliability and security of real-world software applications. Before joining HKU, he obtained his master and bachelor degrees from Computer Science of Tsinghua University in Beijing, and Ph.D. degree from Computer Science of Columbia University in New York.

Currently

Dr. Cui's recent research has led to several international patents, open source projects, and publication in premier systems software and programming languages conferences (e.g., SOSP, OSDI, PLDI, and ASPLOS). Dr. Cui’s previous systems have led to several new security errors detected in real-world software, and some of his systems been leveraged by worldwide researchers.
