Professor Herbert FANG Han Ping is Chair of Environmental Engineering at The University of Hong Kong. Professor Fang has received international acclaim as an expert of environmental biotechnology related to water supply, water pollution control, microbial corrosion, bio-hydrogen production, and bioremediation. His research has led to the broadening of biotechnology to engineering applications for the improvement of water environment, and to a better understanding of microbial interactions in flocs, biofilms and sediment.
