Isaac Chang 張祐銘

Hi! My name is Isaac Chang, and I am a Neuroscience PhD student at UCSF.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). During my junior year, I went to Northwestern for a research internship and worked with Professor Savio Chan to characterize different GPe neuron subtypes and survey their electrophysiological properties, projection patterns, and behavior roles. Right now, I am interested in investigating how circuits in our brain go awry in different disease contexts.

Research aside, I am also a producer at Carry The One Radio, a student-run science podcast at UCSF. We talk about everything science-related. We also feature life stories of aspiring young scientists all across the world. Check out our latest episodes here:
