  • Scholarship in 2018 at the University of Oxford
Chun-Ting Lau is currently pursuing his DPhil in Biomedical Imaging at the University of Oxford, as part of the Biomedical Imaging Centre for Doctoral Training.

He obtained his undergraduate MEng in Engineering Science, with specialisations in mechanical and biomedical engineering, from the University of Oxford in 2018.

Currently

His research interests focus on the development of the real-time imaging technique using Passive Acoustic Mapping (PAM) of acoustic cavitation, to monitor various applications of neurological therapeutic ultrasound. One particular focus is the use of ultrasound-generated acoustic cavitation in causing the reversible opening the blood-brain barrier (BBB) for enhanced drug delivery. The aim is to develop a real-time monitoring and mapping method of the ultrasound therapy to ensure both its safety and efficacy.
