Dr Lau Chor Yue Victor 劉楚儒
Dr. Lau received his BSc degree in Chemistry with first class honors from The University of Hong Kong in 1993. He continued his Ph.D. degrees at the same university (under the supervision of Professor Vivian Yam). His Ph.D. worked on the photophysical and photochemical properties of Rhenium (I) system. After a few years in industrial research, he continued postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley (2001-2002, material sciences) with Professor Jeffrey R. Long. He was also a recipient of the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Scholarship (1994-1995).
Over 20 years in the semiconductor industry (as staff and as founder), Dr. Lau has moved back to academic and shared his industrial experience with faculties and students.
Currently, Dr. Lau is the visiting professor at the University of Electronics Science and Technology of China, Sichuan and Jimei University, Fujian.
