Walfred Tang

Walfred obtained a BSc degree in Biochemistry and a MPhil degree in Anatomy at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He obtained a PhD in Physiology, Development and Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge in 2017. Walfred is currently a Research Associate at the Wellcome Trust/Cancer Research UK Gurdon Institute at the University of Cambridge.

Currently

Walfred is fascinated by the process of mammalian embryogenesis in which a single cell develops into a fetus. In his MPhil study, Walfred investigated the mechanism of embryonic kidney development in mice. His current research focuses on the mechanisms of human germ cell specification and epigenetic reprogramming.
