Dr. Danny Wong is currently a research assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong. He received his B.Sc. in Biochemistry at The University of Manitoba and M.Sc. in Microbiology at The University of British Columbia. With support from the Croucher Studentship, Dr. Wong received his Ph.D. in Medicine at The University of Hong Kong. He has been awarded the Dr. KP Stephen Chang Gold Medal for the best PhD thesis in 2004. Dr. Wong is dedicated to hepatitis B virus (HBV) research. His research interests are HBV virology, chronic hepatitis B natural history and pathogenesis, and HBV-related hepatocarcinogenesis.
